Today we raise our flag so high
To honour the ones who risked their lives
Fought fearlessly to hand us our rights
And paid the price in grand sacrifice.

We stand tall, cos they dared take our fall
We command fame, cos they built us a name
In unity they have given us an identity 
One of equality and of shared humanity.

So with joy in our hearts 
We celebrate a people of great might 
We salute our heroes past

This journey of blood and sweat
And of courage in the face of threats
Has made us a nation so resilient
So strong and ever so brilliant.

Our flag will forever remain a symbol
